Albuquerque Academy
Simms Fine Arts Center

VHGA was charged with renovating the 570-seat Pickett Auditorium and165-seat Johnson Theater and support spaces. VHGA re-sloped the theater floor to increase the number of available seats and improve current sightlines. VHGA reshaped wall angles to provide better acoustical properties, and a new, state-of-the-art, lighting control system was installed. The benefits of these modifications were immediately recognized by the theater's patrons, "The hall's sharp acoustics underline the distinctive color of each instrument and particular character of each players." -- The Albuquerque Journal.
